We apply the no smoking
policy rigidly to ensure the quality of the air for all our guests. The
No-Smoking rule is waived however in the garden !
The main dining room in
Ashe Cottage seats 15. There's ample private parking, a heated outdoor swimming
pool in summer and log fires in winter. Farm shop nearby. Great village pub
with food. In-house catering, beauty therapy, outdoor pursuits etc; see

Nestling in the tiny rural hamlet
of Heywood, Ashe Cottage is a lovely old rambling cottage with oak beams and
low ceilings. It sleeps 8 adults in 4 bedrooms (2 doubles. 2 twins) plus one
small child's single. The annexe just across the lawn has 3 bedrooms (1 double,
2 twins) bathroom, loo and a beautiful rustic living/dining/kitchen area with
oak beams and floor. The Annexe is all on the ground floor. Most twins convert
to continental style doubles. The main dining room in Ashe Cottage will seat
15. Ashe Cottage is the perfect venue for large groups and multi-family
holidays.
Heywood is ideally situated
for visiting The Roman City of Bath, the ancient Saxon Town of
Bradford-on-Avon, and all the historic attractions of South West England! We
are just 40 mins from Stonehenge and Salisbury and 30 mins from Bath by road.
Westbury Railway Station is 1 mile away with regular direct trains to Bath (20
mins) & London (90 mins). The local Pub with it's
fine real ales and superb food is just a short walk across the fields. There
are many excellent golf courses in the area and daily or weekly golf tours can
be arranged.
Ashe Cottage is "Child Friendly", with a permanent stair
gate and a travel-cot provided).
Due to the residential nature of the
hamlet the cottage is family-oriented and not suitable for wild parties and
late night noise!

Details
Ashe Cottage is a lovely old rambling
place with low ceilings and oak beams but is well equipped with a modern galley
kitchen including fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, gas/elec range
cooker, utility room with washing machine & dryer. Ground floor: Lounge
with inglenook fireplace (seating for 9), colour TV, DVC, video & tapes,
dining room with CD player, Door to sunroom. 1 downstairs twin bedroom. First
floor: 4 bedrooms - a small 2' 6'' single, 1 double, 2 twins (one will push
together to make a continental double). One twin has an en-suite shower room
with toilet and basin. Bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, toilet and
basin. Shower room with toilet and basin.
The Annexe
Details
The Annexe Cottage is a beautifully converted stable and
great attention to detail has been paid. Large (5mx5m) Living area with dining
space and full-function kitchenette. Colour TV, video, CD player, elec cooker,
microwave, fridge.This lovely bright and airy room has oak beams, ceiling and
floors. 1 double bedroom and 2 twins (one will convert to continental double).
Bathroom with shower over, WC and basin, separate WC with basin. Laundry room
with washing machine and freezer.
What is,
and is not included in the price!
We supply bed
linen (except cot bedding), duvets, pillows, dish drying cloths and bath towels
(1 per guest). We do not supply pool towels. Bath towels must
not be used by the pool. Central heating oil, electricity, cooking gas,
barbeque gas and the first basket of logs are all included in the price for
both cottages. Extra bags of logs are £3 and can be found in the log
shed. We operate an honesty system and there is a tin in the shed for payment.
If you prefer, you can buy bags of logs from the farm shop where they are
£2.25. Cleaning materials are supplied for your end of stay clean, these
are all under the sink in each kitchen. Please leave these for the next guests.

We do not supply any other consumables. These
include, washing up liquid, loo rolls, dishwasher tablets, rinse aid,
firelighters etc etc. There are often left over consumables from previous
guests and we just leave these as "rolling stock" for the next
guests.
